Phan Dinh Phung · Ba Dinh · Hanoi
Est. Hanoi
Rue De L'amour was built where Hanoi is at its most French and at its most Vietnamese at the same time. Nine storeys of shuttered windows and wrought iron above a stone arcade, and behind every door an Indochine room. There is not another house on this street like it.

The endless knot
The figure worked into the ironwork, the screens and the stone of this house is an infinity knot. It has no beginning and no end, and in Vietnam it carries a wish for good fortune, for happiness, and for luck that runs on past the person holding it.
Read it a second time and it is the letter A. The house signs its own name in it.

“The staff have a deep understanding of local culture and are always ready to suggest somewhere interesting in Hanoi. I was very impressed with the L'amour Suite, and the room looked onto a beautiful tree lined street.”

“Two memorable honeymoon nights. The room exceeded what I expected, even more beautiful than in the photographs. The Sky Bar is the right place to relax with a cocktail.”
